Repeat Prescriptions

A repeat prescription is medication that you take on a regular basis and which your doctor has arranged for you to re-order monthly or two-monthly.  You are not able to order any medication which does not appear on your Repeat Prescription List.

You can order your repeat medication in a variety of ways as detailed below.  Please note that your prescription will be processed and will be available for collection 2 working days after you have ordered it.

By telephone

You can ring your usual branch and order over the phone during the allotted times (see specific branches for details).  Please ensure you have a copy of your repeat prescription to hand detailing the name of the medications and strengths that you are ordering as this saves time over the telephone.  (for example, please dont ask for "my blue tablets" or "my blood pressure pills" as the receptionist can only see the name and strength of your medication, not the colour of the tablet or what it is being prescribed for)

In Person

Tick the items you require on your repeat prescription form and drop it off at your local branch.  If you have lost your repeat order slip, please ensure you write your full name, address, date of birth and the exact medication you require on a slip of paper and either hand to the receptionist or drop off in the designated box.

By Post

You can post your repeat order slip to your usual branch for collection in the surgery/chemist. If you would like us to post your prescription back to you, please ensure you enclose a stamped addressed envelope.  If you do not have an arrangement with your chemist to collect your prescription from the surgery, you will need to provide us with a stamped addressed envelope for posting to your desired pharmacy/address.
