Publication Scheme

Class 1 – Who we are and what we do

Practice details, information about our Practice team and our opening times are all published on our website. This information can be accessed via the About Us page.

Class 2 – What we spend and how we spend it

The Practice receives money from NHS Wales according to its contract for national General Medical Services in exchange for services provided for patients.

We are funded by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, under the “Statement of Fees and Allowances Payable for General Medical Practitioners in England and Wales”. Details are available on request from the Practice Manager.

GMS income is generated by capitation income, commissioning of QAIF services and enhanced services. Private income is generated by medicals. Some premise expenses are reimbursed by BCU, some are charged to BCU for room usage.

Some medicines are bought in and the administration of generates an income, and a profit if bought at discount.  This may be private or NHS depending on NHS policy

Expenditure is on premises, staff and equipment, and unspent “profit” is paid to the GPs as self-employed independent contractors.

The total income received from the NHS before expenses can be requested in writing by contacting the Practice Manager via her email account at practice.manager.w94032@wales.nhs.uk.
